Precision optics and LED power spotlights
Based in Kiel in northern Germany, the company has been specialising in the development, manufacture and production of special materials and procedures for dental technology since 1985. It soon focussed on certain areas: investments, polyvinyl siloxane, flask systems, etc. Later it branched into components for microscopes and lighting systems for use in laboratories and practices. Now it produces high-tech magnifying glasses and LED power spotlights for dentists and doctors for a multitude of specialisations and applications. The company is a collaborative partner and licensee if the Finnish market-leading “Merident” magnifying goggles.
It was one of the first companies to recognise the importance of optoelectrical Lights (LEDs) in 2002 for use with magnifying optics, in order to develop coaxial light in a mobile and economic manner to improve lighting of the mouth. These mini OP lights are lightweight, small, shatter-resistant, and highly durable. With bright white light, they also have the greatest output making them cost-effective. At IDS 2005, DCI presented the first pure white light LED and has produced this since then with a range of adaptations for many eminent magnifying goggle manufacturers both in Germany and abroad.
